YLE Foundation made waves at the 23rd Barcelona Convention for Mediterranean Protection, represented by 4 members during #COP23. 
Participating in COP Mediterranean, we discussed our foundation's action plan to protect and clean beaches. 
In two Side Events, we highlighted YLE's beach cleanup campaigns in Marsa Matrouh, Nabq, and Dahab. Our foundation organized a global-scale plastic cleanup campaign aiming for a Guinness World Record.
Additionally, we showcased our efforts since #COP27, empowering youth and enhancing the skills of civil society organizations' personnel through the ARCH project in collaboration with CRISP Foundation and the German Ministry of Environment in Egypt.
We presented the foundation's focus on 4 Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Climate Action, Life Below Water, and Life on Land.
Witnessing Egypt's announcement to host the 24th Barcelona Convention in 2025, the conference approved nearly 20 resolutions covering various environmental areas in the Mediterranean, including biodiversity protection and integrated coastal management.
On the first day, efforts to address plastic pollution in the Mediterranean were discussed.
A delegation from YLE shared the foundation's efforts in raising awareness about climate change, preserving marine environments, and reducing marine pollution from plastic waste.
