YLE Foundation participates in UNEA6 held in Nairobi  Kenya

Thrilled to share snapshots from my inspiring journey at UNEA 6 in Nairobi! From engaging in discussions on ecosystems to advocating for sustainable practices, it was an enriching experience. It was a great opportunity to collaborate with global leaders towards a greener, more sustainable future. Check out the highlights below!

UNEA 6 Highlights: A Journey of Impact and Collaboration

  1. Engaged in Cluster D discussions on ecosystems, lifestyles, and the impacts of armed conflicts, representing Youth Love Egypt Foundation and Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance.
  2. Co-facilitated Resolution Cluster D session at GMGSF-20, leading to progress in addressing environmental challenges in industries and lifestyles, focusing on sustainable minerals management, circular economy in sugar cane, and promoting sustainable consumption.
  3. Honored to meet with COP29 President and the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, as well as Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change in Canada, host country of INC4.
  4. Constructive dialogues with Hakima El Haite, Minister of Environment of Morocco and President of UNEA 6, and Inger Andersen, Executive Director of UNEP, emphasizing collaborative action.
  5. Engaged in discussions with the organizing committee of COP16 in Riyadh, December, towards future environmental initiatives.
  6. Advocating for peace with a stand in support of a global ceasefire, reaffirming our belief in peace.
  7. Active participation in Major Group and Stakeholders Forum on 24/25 Feb, fostering collaboration on key environmental issues.
  8. Continued networking and participation in meetings and side events, underscoring our commitment to driving actionable change.
