Red sea islands are free of plastic waste project

Youth love  Egypt Foundation has cooperated with The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives the declared  Mahabes island as “Completely Free of plastic “ after raising 3 tons of waste.

With the participation of its team, researchers of natural conservation sector in the Ministry of Environment and Marine Scouts association in Ismailia, where work continued for 10 hours on Tuesday, in the presence of Isabel Savard, Canadian consul of Egypt where 3000 kilos of plastic, equivalent to 3 tons of waste, were collected, including plastic, wood, ropes, bags, nets and Foam Underwater cleanness campaign was organized in Qala'an area in Wadi Al-Gemal to collect the waste and plastic under mangroves and from the depths of the Red Sea in order to conserve marine biodiversity where 1.5 tones were raised.
